LP Charts Statistics and Trivia

Ask almost anybody and they'll say The Beatles dominated all the record charts in the Sixties. Although it is true that the Fab Four were phenomenally successful in terms of sales, they didn't have it quite all their own way in other aspects of the charts. Check out these LP chart statistics - I'm certain you'll find a few surprises!

  Notes on Statistics:
Some albums were issued in both stereo and mono. The chart rating treated both as the same version although they
had different catalogue numbers. For statistical purposes, if no chart was issued for a particular week the previous week's positions have been
used. Also, all statistics are calculated from the Saturday of the week in which the particular chart was published.
