Dysfunctional British spies, including the shapely 'Agent Daphne Honeybutt, 36-28-36' bumble their way across the globe in the hope of somehow recovering a stolen

secret formula from under the noses of the evil S.T.E.N.C.H. organisation. The malarkey in Morocco becomes absolute murder on the Orient Express - more Blonde than Bond, and 'Q' never supplied weapons like Barbara's - with such natty holsters too! Jim Dale played six different roles in this film.

Romans make life a misery for the Ancient Britons while Sid James, as Mark Anthony, chats up a very sexy Amanda Barrie playing Cleopatra with amorous asp-irations.

The soldiers hard-earned denarii could be used at Markus and Spencius the cut-price slave traders or to buy a square wheel direct from the manufacturer, Hengist Pod ( yes, his wife was called Senna! ), who somehow contrives to become the chief bodyguard of the less than fortunate Caesar. No wonder Kenneth Williams is reduced to declaring 'Infamy, infamy . . .they've all got it in for me . . .'

Sheila Hancock.
