Verne book 'Off On A Comet'
ZRB / Columbia Films
Edward Bernds
Sean McClory, Cesare Danova, Joan
Staley
Danielle de Metz, Gregg Martell
While
about to face each other in a duel, two men are ripped
from the surface of the Earth by a passing comet and deposited
into a prehistoric world populated by primitives. They
survive the usual trials and tribulations, eventually
losing their enmity for each other and finding some nice
cavegirls. They discover that they are actually riding
the comet and will have an opportunity to return on its
next pass in seven years time. A lot of the footage came
from 'One Million B.C.'

A predecessor to 'Los Astronautas', the comic duo are trailing a
jewel thief who makes use of a paint renders things temporarily
invisible. This non-permanent drawback leads to his eventual capture.
A side issue to the story involves the daughters of the paint's
inventor who become romantically involved with the silly sleuths.
'Los Invisibles' was not released until 1963 so, although made after
'Los Astronautas', it became the first of the two to hit the screen.

The
Magic World Of Topo Gigio
( Le Avventure Di Topo Gigio )
( The Italian Mouse )
Jolly Film / Cinecidi / Compagnia Perego Telecast
Federico Caldura
An animated puppet film in which the popular mouse, together with
girlfriend Rosy and wimpy worm Giovannino, builds a rocket to the
moon. The flight goes a bit wrong and they end up in an amusement
park where they join forces with a friendly puppeteer to perform

is jealous of the show but Topo Gigio manages to rescue her. There
were two alternative endings - in one they merely escape from the
amusement park but in the other they manage to get the magician
to reform his wicked ways. The 1965 English version, cut by 10 minutes,
was directed by Luca de Rico.
