EP Charts Statistics and Trivia

Ask almost anybody and they'll say that The Beatles dominated all the record charts in the Sixties.
Although the Fab Four were phenomenally successful in terms of record sales, they didn't have it quite all their own way in the charts from other aspects. Check out these EP chart statistics - I'm certain you'll find a few surprises!

Notes on Statistics:
The first ever separate EP chart was listed by 'Record Retailer' on 10th March 1960 consisting of 10 titles and the last was on 30th November 1967 which only listed nine due to the fall in numbers of EPs being produced. Between these dates various numbers of EPs were involved in weekly listings.
For statistical purposes, if no chart was issued for a particular week the previous week's positions have been used. All statistics are calculated from the Saturday of the week in which a chart was published
.
